You’ve finally made it!
You’ve worked so ridiculously long and hard your entire life to make it to the top of the mountain and now you’re finally here. You’ve got the slick cars, the nice house, the beautiful family, the powerful title and the big bank account as proof that you’ve arrived!
And yet, somehow, you’ve never felt so empty, confused, frustrated, tired and ashamed. WHO’S BEHIND IT?
I’m Jeremy Murphy and nearly five years ago, almost to the day that I’m creating this, I was at the lowest point I’ve ever been in my life.
Angry, confused, heartbroken, exhausted and alone. I was on the floor of my Motel 6 room telling myself that I didn’t need to get up and grab something to eat, I didn’t have to go to work tomorrow; I didn’t have to do ANYTHING anymore if I didn’t want to.
At this time I had recently lost “POPS”, Walter POPS Carvahlo; my fight coach. He took me from chump to champ in a matter of a couple of years. He was like a father-figure to me. Around this time I also asked my then wife for a divorce after two houses, two kids and nearly 14 years of marriage. I thought it was noble to choose divorce over continuing to pretend to be happy or infidelity but most of the people in my camp didn’t agree. As a result I lost nearly all of my friends, disconnected from most of the people in my family and suddenly I was all alone.
Eventually I learned how to F.I.G.H.T. my way out of the darkness. I learned how to grow stronger, build and protect my energy, gain clarity and turn my pain into purpose. I also learned how to sit in the fire, how to burn broken bridges, how to ask for help, how to practice forgiveness and how to receive grace.
It took me a little over 5 years to put these lessons together in such a way so that I can build myself back up into the man you see today. To say that it was hard would be an understatement. To say that it was painful would be a misrepresentation. To say that I had days where I honestly believed I’d never find my way out would be the absolute truth. You might have had these thoughts too but this doesn't have to be the case for you. I’ve been to the abyss. I stared my most vicious enemy directly in his eyes, I’ve battled him victoriously and I’ve come back with the blueprint of how you can do the same.
It’s time to stop running,
It’s time to stop blaming,
It's time to stop hiding.
It’s time to stare your enemy directly in his eyes;
He is right there, right at your front door.
And He is YOU!
It's time to face yourself,
